Aeronautica Macchi S.P.A.

Aeronautica Macchi S.p.A., originally known as Società Anonima Nieuport-Macchi, was an Italian aircraft manufacturer founded in 1913. Known primarily for seaplanes and trainers, its historical products include the iconic World War I flying boats, and later, the successful Macchi C.202 Folgore fighter during World War II. After the war, the company focused on military jet trainers. Its later products, like the Aermacchi MB-326 and MB-339 jet trainers, became renowned globally and were widely exported. The company was eventually integrated into Alenia Aermacchi, which is now part of Leonardo S.p.A.
