Product Description

Designed to meet the demanding requirements of the aviation industry, this heavy-duty aluminium access platform provides a safe, durable, and compliant solution for maintenance, inspection, and ground support operations across both fixed-wing and rotary aircraft. Engineered for reliability on the flight line, in hangars, and within MRO environments, this platform delivers outstanding performance where safety and efficiency are critical.

Constructed from robust 82 × 50 mm marine-grade aluminium RHS, the platform offers exceptional strength and corrosion resistance while remaining lightweight and easy to manoeuvre. Unlike C-channel designs, the fully enclosed RHS construction delivers superior rigidity and long-term durability, making it ideal for high-use aviation environments exposed to weather, chemicals, and operational wear.

With a safe working load (SWL) of 225 kg, the platform comfortably supports personnel, tools, and equipment during aircraft servicing tasks. It complies fully with AS/NZS 1657:2018, ensuring confidence in safety, regulatory adherence, and operational approval across aviation facilities. A permanently affixed SWL and serial-numbered plate further supports asset tracking, auditing, and compliance requirements.

For enhanced safety during aircraft access, the platform can be fitted with edge protection wings and batwing gates, helping to minimise fall risks when working around fuselages, wings, tail sections, engines, and rotor systems. A spring-loaded latch and rear safety bar provide additional security, ensuring controlled access and stable positioning during use.

The perforated plate deck offers excellent slip resistance and drainage, making it suitable for both indoor hangar environments and outdoor flight line operations. Large 200 mm locking heavy-duty castors allow smooth movement across concrete and tarmac surfaces, while positive locking ensures stability once positioned.

For greater flexibility, a towable option is available, enabling efficient relocation across large airfields or hangar complexes using approved ground support vehicles. An optional 45° stair access configuration further improves ergonomic access, particularly when frequent ascents and descents are required during extended maintenance activities.

This aviation access platform is ideally suited for fixed-wing aircraft such as commercial airliners, business jets, turboprops, and military aircraft, as well as rotary-wing helicopters used in emergency services, defence, offshore operations, and general aviation. Its modular design, rugged construction, and safety-focused features make it a reliable choice for aviation maintenance crews seeking a long-term, compliant access solution.

Built for the realities of aviation operations, this platform delivers safety, durability, and efficiency—supporting aircraft maintenance teams in achieving safe, productive, and compliant outcomes every day.
