These stairs were originally designed and built for a client who operated F/A-18 Hornet fighters.

The cantilevered design allows pedestrian access over sensitive engine housing areas between the twin fins without too much foot contact and without the stairs touching the aircraft at all. Also, this system also eliminates the risk of walking on rounded or uneven aircraft surfaces, preventing slipping.

Based on this design, SafeSmart Aviation can custom design any stairs or ladder system to suit any twin fin aircraft.
