The primary function of this set is to elevate maintenance personnel to the ideal height for detailed work on the aircraft’s cockpit windshield, including cleaning, inspection for stress fractures or damage, and seal maintenance. Innovative features include a removable step-up section. This key feature allows the platform to be rapidly reconfigured, facilitating access to the radome for avionic systems checks and radar unit servicing. This dual functionality maximizes operational efficiency.

The platform construction prioritizes durability and Safety. We use resilient Treadplate Decking across all primary working surfaces. This material choice ensures excellent slip resistance, crucial for maintaining a secure footing in all workshop environments. The two platform sections are independently height adjustable, offering a considerable range of vertical articulation.

This adjustability is smoothly managed via an integrated Manual Hand Winch system, enabling precise positioning to accommodate varying hangar floor levels or specific task requirements. One platform offers a significant 1200mm height adjustment range, while its counterpart provides a focused 600mm height adjustment, ensuring every access point is precisely met.

Ergonomic Design for Maintenance Crews

Ease of movement and stability are paramount. The system locks incrementally once the desired height is achieved, guaranteeing a static and reliable working base. Accessing the work level is achieved via a sturdy 45° Stair Access system.

This moderate angle is designed for maximum comfort and Safety during repeated ascents and descents, particularly when personnel are carrying tools or parts. A key feature enhancing technician comfort and efficacy is the Kneeling Platform. This section is surfaced with Griptread Birch, a material chosen specifically for its anti-fatigue properties, providing a comfortable surface when detailed, close-up work on the fuselage is required.

Modular Flexibility for the B737 Nose Dock

The platform set is engineered for flexibility in the maintenance bay. The two major components can be utilized either individually—providing focused access to specific sections of the nose—or joined together to create an expansive, continuous work environment. Connection between the platforms is facilitated by Joining Platforms, which also feature Treadplate Decking and are equipped with Fender Foam on the leading edges.

This soft leading edge protects the delicate aircraft skin from accidental contact during positioning and throughout the work process. The system’s modularity is further underscored by the Infill Platforms Joining Spigots.
