YMF-5

The YMF-5 is a modern replica biplane roughly based on the classic Waco YMF, initially designed in 1986 and built by WACO Classic Aircraft. Variants like the YMF-5D and the amphibious YMF-5F continue this lineage.

WACO Aircraft, originally the Weaver Aircraft Company of Ohio, was founded in 1919. This manufacturer was a foundational name in American aviation, leading the industry during the Golden Age. Between 1919 and 1947, WACO produced sixty-two different aircraft models, specializing in a wide range of civilian biplanes.

For detailed access and maintenance of the YMF-5, specialized platforms are crucial. Solutions like the Reach Deck Platform and Platform Ladder Warthog support access to the Nose Section for work on the antenna, windshield, and cockpit. Modular Stepover Platforms and Super Trestle Scaffold enable thorough inspection across the Forward Fuselage, including cabin access and lighting systems. The main landing gear, wing box, and fuel tanks require the stability provided by Super Service Stands and Bridge Decks. Cantilever Platforms and Fibreglass Platforms also assist with servicing the Tail Section, particularly the vertical and horizontal stabilizers.
