YAKOVLEV 18T

The YAKOVLEV 18T is a fully aerobatic utility aircraft, initially designed in the late 1960s as a civilian training plane for Aeroflot pilots. This four-to-five-seater aircraft is known for its strong construction and responsive handling, powered by a single Vedeneyev M14P radial engine. It shares design lineage and systems with the later Yak-50 and Yak-52 aircraft families.

The manufacturer, Yakovlev, traces its foundational history to 1927 with the debut of the AIR-1 aircraft. The Yakovlev design bureau was foundational in Soviet aviation, especially during World War II, producing foundational piston fighters like the Yak-1, Yak-3, and Yak-9. Yakovlev has since continued to develop a range of essential training, fighter, and utility aircraft.

A range of access platforms is available for the YAKOVLEV 18T’s maintenance requirements. The Modular Stepover Platforms and Platform Ladder Warthog support access for the Nose Section (Windshield & Cockpit) and Forward Fuselage (Cabin Access). The Super Service Stand and Easyraise facilitate maintenance on the Landing Gear (NLG and MLG). For work on the Middle Fuselage / Wing Box Area, the Bridge Deck and Super Trestle Scaffold are relevant. Platforms such as the Cantilever Platform, A Frame Aviation Platform, and Super Maintenance Platform are vital for detailed maintenance on the Wing & Engine Pylon (Engine, Hydraulics, Fuel Tanks/Pumps). Finally, access platforms assist with work on the AFT Fuselage and Tail Section (Stabilizer, Rudder).
