VIRUS SW

The VIRUS SW is an exceptional two-seat, single-engine light aircraft produced by Pipistrel D O O. As the fastest high-wing cruiser, it combines pure speed with unprecedented fuel economy, evidenced by its wins in NASA challenges and multiple world records. The design, based on the Pipistrel Sinus and featuring a high-wing cantilever monoplane configuration, began production in 1999. The short-wing VIRUS SW variant began production in 2008.

Pipistrel D O O, based in Slovenia and Italy, has a history rooted in ultralight, homebuilt kits, gliders, and light-sport aircraft. The company has successfully manufactured over 1,000 aircraft in the Sinus and Virus family by 2019, securing its foundational role in the light aircraft segment.

Height access solutions are indispensable for methodical maintenance across the VIRUS SW. Platforms and stands support access to all critical areas. For the Nose Section, including the radome, antenna, nose avionics, windshield, cockpit, and bulkhead, specialized platforms facilitate access. These products also support the Forward Fuselage, Landing Gear, Middle Fuselage/Wing Box Area, AFT Fuselage, and Tail Section, ensuring thorough inspection and servicing.
