U206G

The Cessna U206G Stationair/Stationair 6 is a widely adopted utility aircraft, often described as the “sport-utility vehicle of the air” due to its powerful engine, sturdy construction, and large cabin. Introduced for the 1977 model year, the U206G featured a new nosewheel leg. The turbocharged version, the TU206G, was powered by a 310 hp Continental TSIO-520-M engine. This model is part of the successful Cessna 206 series, which has been in production across different periods from 1964 to 1986, and then again from 1998 to the present. The aircraft is commonly used for bush flying, aerial photography, and can be equipped with floats or skis.

Cessna Aircraft Company, the manufacturer, was founded in 1927 by Clyde Cessna and Victor Roos in Wichita, Kansas. The company quickly became foundational in general aviation, recognized for pioneering small, high-wing, piston aircraft. Although Cessna ceased to be an independent company in 1985 and was eventually acquired by Textron in 1992, the Cessna brand continues to produce influential aircraft.
