Typhoon

The Typhoon is a foundational multirole fighter aircraft, representing the pinnacle of European military aviation technology. Manufactured by Eurofighter, this twin-engine delta-wing jet excels in air superiority missions. The project originated from the Future European Fighter Aircraft (FEFA) program in the early 1980s, culminating in the establishment of Eurofighter Jagdflugzeug GmbH in 1986. This consortium united major aerospace firms from the UK, Germany, Italy, and Spain to manage the design, production, and upgrade of the aircraft. The Typhoon first flew in 1994 and entered service in the early 2000s.

A variety of platforms and access solutions are utilized for maintenance around the Typhoon. Modular Stepover Platforms and Bridge Deck systems provide clear access to the Wing Box area, Pylons, and over the fuselage for tasks related to Fuel Tanks or Cabin Interior maintenance. Trestle and Maintenance Platforms offer sturdy access for detailed work on the Nose Section (Radome, Antenna, Cockpit) and Landing Gear (NLG and MLG). Cantilever Platforms are instrumental in reaching the Tail Section components, including the Vertical and Horizontal Stabilisers and Rudder, while specialized Stands support engine maintenance, covering the Inlet/Exhaust, Fan, Compressor, and Turbine sections.
