Tu-204/Tu-214

The Tupolev Tu-204/Tu-214 is a narrow-body jet airliner series developed in the Soviet Union and currently manufactured in Russia. Designed by Tupolev, the aircraft was intended as the successor to the medium-range Tu-154 trijet.

The aircraft first flew on January 2, 1989, with certification for the initial Soloviev PS90 turbofan-powered -100 series occurring in January 1995. It began service with Aeroflot in February 1996. Production of the Tu-204 series has been managed by Aviastar SP, while the Tu-214 variants are manufactured by Kazan Aircraft Production Association. The entire program is now overseen by United Aircraft Corporation. This foundational twinjet was engineered to be broadly equivalent to Western contemporaries like the Boeing 757, offering competitive performance and fuel efficiency. The family includes passenger, cargo, and specialized variants, and it remains in service today.

Access solutions, such as modular stepover platforms and cantilever platforms, can address maintenance needs across the aircraft. These platforms are indispensable for servicing the Nose Section (Windshield & Cockpit), Forward Fuselage (Main Entry Door, Cargo/Baggage), Landing Gear (NLG and MLG), Middle Fuselage (Wing Box, Fuel Tanks), and the Wing & Engine Pylon areas. Specialized stands also allow for thorough access to the AFT Fuselage and Tail Section (Empennage) components like the Vertical and Horizontal Stabilizers.
