TR182

The TR182 Turbo Skylane RG is a four-seat light aircraft introduced by Cessna for the 1978 model year. This variant is characterized by its retractable landing gear and is powered by a turbocharged 235 horsepower Lycoming O-540-L3C5D piston engine, certified in September 1978 with a gross weight of 3,100 lbs. It is a variant of the foundational Cessna 182 Skylane, which was introduced in 1956 and remains one of the manufacturer’s most popular models.

Cessna Aircraft Company, founded by Clyde Cessna in 1927, has a long history as a paramount producer of single-engine aircraft. The company is known for its high-wing designs and continues to manufacture a comprehensive lineup of aircraft today, reflecting a history of building dependable general aviation planes.

A variety of platforms and access solutions facilitate methodical maintenance across the TR182. For nose and forward fuselage sections, including the windshield, cockpit, and cabin access, equipment like Reach Deck Platforms, Easyraise, and Platform Ladders provides optimal height and stable positioning. Sturdy trestle scaffold and Super Maintenance Platforms offer broad and strong access for the middle fuselage, wing box, and fuel tanks, which are indispensable for detailed inspections.

For landing gear, engine pylon, and wing work (such as checking hydraulics or engine components), equipment like the Cantilever Platform and Modular Stepover Platforms ensure targeted and safe positioning over obstructions. For the tail section’s stabilizers and rudder, and for general access to the aircraft’s aft fuselage, the use of A Frame Aviation Platforms and Bridge Decks provides the height and reach necessary for thorough servicing. Specialized items like the Aviation Chock and Cone Trolley support efficient operations around the aircraft.
