TH-1H Iroquois

The TH-1H Iroquois, commonly known as the Huey, is a paramount utility helicopter developed by Bell. Bell began the Iroquois program in 1956 to create an Army medevac replacement, leading to one of the most widely produced American military aircraft in history. Bell is a foundational manufacturer in vertical lift, with a history of innovation in helicopter design.

The TH-1H model is closely related to the UH-1H, the last major production upgrade, which entered service in early 1967. The UH-1H featured the improved Lycoming T53-L-13 engine, giving the aircraft the power needed for demanding missions. More than 5,500 UH-1H Hueys were built before production ceased in 1982. The Huey series remains renowned for its versatility, serving global military and civilian operators.
