SUPER PETREL

The SUPER PETREL is an amphibious pusher configuration biplane, seating two side-by-side. Developed by EDRA Aeronautica in 2002, this aircraft has French parentage but was brought into production in Brazil. It evolved from the SMAN Pétrel, with a completely redesigned version, the Paturi, appearing in 1997, leading to the SUPER PETREL. By 2014, Scoda Aeronáutica of Ipeúna, São Paulo, Brazil, was producing the design. The aircraft is built with a mix of materials, extensively utilizing composites. Its history includes the later-designed SUPER PETREL LS in 2009, which offered an increased cruising speed and greater fuel capacity.

A variety of access solutions are available for this aircraft. Reach Deck Platform and Platform Ladder Warthog can address General Access. For the Nose Section, Modular Stepover Platforms and Super Service Stand provide access to the windshield and cockpit. The Main Landing Gear can be reached using the Ultraraise. The Cantilever Platform offers specialized access to the Wing & Engine Pylon areas, including the engine body and flap. The Super Maintenance Platform and Easyraise are suitable for the AFT Fuselage, including the rear avionics.
