SPORTSTAR MAX

The SPORTSTAR MAX is a model within the SportStar family of two-seat, light sport aircraft (LSA) produced by Evektor Aerotechnik. The SportStar achieved historical significance as the first Light Sport Plane certified in the US in its category. These aircraft are manufactured in Czechia and powered by a Rotax 912ULS 100 horsepower engine. They are known for their reliable tricycle landing gear, steerable nose wheel, and advanced metal airframe construction, which includes riveted and bonded joints for durability. The SportStar series remains in production, continuing a lineage that began manufacturing in 1997.

Evektor Aerotechnik, the manufacturer, was founded in 1970 and is headquartered in Kunovice, Czech Republic. The privately held aerospace company specializes in light aircraft production. Beyond the foundational SportStar, the company’s product line includes the VUT100 Cobra four-seater, the twin-engine turboprop EV-55 Outback, and the electric aircraft concept, the EPOS.

Access solutions are indispensable for thorough maintenance of the SPORTSTAR MAX. Mobile platforms and stands—including Reach Deck Platform, Modular Stepover Platforms, Ultraraise, and Super Service Stand—support detailed inspection and service. This equipment is critical for accessing the Nose Section (avionics, cockpit), Forward Fuselage (cabin access, lighting systems), Landing Gear, Wing Box Area, and Tail Section for routine and detailed work.
