The SPITFIRE MK. VIIIc is an iteration of the legendary Spitfire fighter, designed for high-altitude interception and featuring a strengthened fuselage and retractable tailwheel. As a key World War II variant, it provided increased range and speed.

Vickers-Armstrongs, the parent company to the Spitfire’s designer Supermarine, was a British engineering giant formed in 1927 from the merger of Vickers and Armstrong Whitworth companies.
