RQ-7B Shadow

The RQ-7B Shadow is a tactical reconnaissance Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) currently manufactured by AAI Corporation, now a division of Textron Systems. Developed from the AAI RQ-2 Pioneer, the Shadow program first took flight in 1991 and was introduced to the U.S. Army in 2002. It remains an active production system, with over 500 units built, delivering crucial situational awareness to ground maneuver forces worldwide.

Maintenance and inspection across the RQ-7B Shadow require specialized height access solutions. These solutions support access to key aircraft sections, including the Nose Section (for the radome and avionics), the Forward Fuselage (for doors, cargo, and lighting systems), and the Landing Gear (both Nose and Main).

Further access is necessary for the Middle Fuselage/Wing Box Area (including fuel tanks), the Wing & Engine Pylon (for engine components and hydraulics), the AFT Fuselage (for bulkheads, cargo, and rear avionics), and the Tail Section (Empennage) for stabilizers and the APU. Platforms and stands, such as the Reach Deck Platform, Modular Stepover Platforms, sturdy Super Trestle Scaffold, and Super Maintenance Platform, ensure all areas, including after-flight and before-flight checks, are safely accessible.
