PA-60-600

The PA-60-600 is an iconic model, forming part of the Piper Aerostar family. Originally designed by Ted Smith as the Aerostar 600, it is a high-performance, twin-engine piston aircraft renowned for its speed. It entered production in the 1970s, eventually joining the PIPER Aircraft lineup when they acquired the line in 1978.

PIPER Aircraft’s history is foundational to general aviation. Established by William T. Piper, the company’s roots trace back to the Taylor Brothers Aircraft Company in the late 1920s. After acquiring the company, Piper moved operations to Lock Haven, Pennsylvania, and introduced the highly successful Piper J-3 Cub in 1937, which democratized flying. Over the decades, PIPER Aircraft developed a broad range of aircraft, from trainers and light singles to complex twins, consistently shaping the industry with models known for reliability and accessibility.

A variety of access solutions are available for this aircraft, supporting comprehensive maintenance across all areas. Elevated platforms and stands provide access for inspecting and servicing the Nose Section (Radome, Antenna, Avionics) and the Forward Fuselage (Cabin Access, Forward Wheel Well Access, Lighting Systems). These solutions are also suitable for the Wing & Engine Pylon areas (Engines, Hydraulics, Fuel Tanks/Pumps, Undercowl) and the Middle Fuselage/Wing Box Area (Fuel Tanks, Oil Maintenance). For the Landing Gear (NLG and MLG), tailored platforms facilitate safe and thorough inspections. Finally, the AFT Fuselage and Tail Section (Vertical and Horizontal Stabilisers) benefit from these versatile platforms for structural inspection and component service.
