The PA-36-375, known as the Pawnee Brave, is a single-seat agricultural monoplane designed for aerial application tasks. Developed from the Piper PA-25 Pawnee, the PA-36 Pawnee Brave first flew in 1969 and entered production in 1973. It is powered by a 375 hp Avco Lycoming IO-720-D1C engine.
PIPER Aircraft’s foundational history began in 1927. William T. Piper established the Piper Aircraft Corporation in 1937, evolving from the Taylor Aircraft Company. Known for iconic models like the Piper Cub, the company became a foundational force in general aviation. In 1981, Piper sold the rights to the PA-36 design to WTA Incorporated, which marketed the 375 hp version as the New Brave 375. The design rights were later reassigned to The New Piper Aircraft, Inc. in 1997.
A range of platforms and access solutions—including Modular Stepover Platforms, Super Trestle Scaffold, and Super Service Stands—are indispensable for detailed and methodical access around this aircraft. These access solutions address maintenance needs across all sections:
For the nose, forward fuselage, and tail sections (empennage), elevated platforms provide the requisite height for work on radome, antennas, cockpit, and stabilizers. Wing and engine pylon access, covering engine components, hydraulics, and fuel systems, is facilitated by platforms and specialized maintenance stands. Similarly, access for landing gear, middle fuselage areas (including the wing box and fuel tanks), and AFT fuselage compartments requires specialized stands and deck platforms to ensure optimal worker positioning for all maintenance tasks.
