PA-24-400

The PA-24-400 Comanche 400 is a high-performance variant of the Piper PA-24 Comanche series, produced by PIPER Aircraft. The PA-24 line was manufactured from 1957 to 1972, with the Comanche 400 specifically produced between 1964 and 1966. Only 148 units of the PA-24-400 were built, making it a limited production model. It is powered by a 400 hp, eight-cylinder Lycoming IO-720 engine, which was developed specifically for this aircraft. This power plant gave the 400 an impressive cruise speed and the largest payload capacity among the single Comanches, establishing it as a true long-distance cruiser.

PIPER Aircraft has a foundational history in general aviation, creating popular and enduring aircraft designs. The company introduced the Comanche series with the first production aircraft flying in 1957. The PA-24-400 features a structurally strengthened airframe, particularly in the tail, compared to other PA-24 models.

A variety of access solutions support detailed maintenance for the PA-24-400. These platforms and stands address access needs across all major sections, including the Nose Section (Windshield & Cockpit, Bulkhead), Landing Gear (NLG + MLG), and the Tail Section (Vertical Stabiliser, Horizontal Stabiliser, Rudder). Products like the Modular Stepover Platforms and Cantilever Platform provide versatile access for inspections and servicing.
