NAVION

The NAVION is a single-engine, four-seat aircraft, originally developed toward the end of World War II by North American Aviation. Conceived as a premier civilian aircraft for the post-war boom, its design shared lineage with the North American P-51 Mustang.

RYAN Aeronautical took over production of the aircraft shortly after its introduction. RYAN-built aircraft, such as the Navion A, featured improvements like a more powerful engine and were delivered for both civilian and military use, receiving the designation L-17B by the U.S. Army. Production later transitioned to other companies, but the foundational work by RYAN solidified the aircraft’s place in general aviation history.

A variety of access solutions are suitable for maintaining the NAVION. Platforms and stands allow for detailed maintenance around the fuselage, wings, and landing gear. Stepover platforms and trestle scaffold are beneficial for accessing the cockpit, wing surfaces, and tail section components, ensuring thorough attention to the aircraft’s structure and systems.
