MIG-15SB LIM-2

The MIG-15SB LIM-2 is a Polish-built variant of the foundational Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-15 jet fighter. The original MiG-15 shocked the West with its capabilities upon its introduction in the late 1940s as a high-altitude interceptor, notably during the Korean War. The Soviet design bureau Mikoyan-Gurevich, established by Artem Mikoyan and Mikhail Gurevich, developed the aircraft in response to the urgent need for high-performance jet fighters. The MiG-15 first flew in late 1947.

The LIM-2 variant, manufactured under license in Poland, served multiple roles. Maintenance access to this historic single-seat, swept-wing jet requires versatile access equipment for multiple critical areas.

Platforms and stands are used for access to key aircraft sections. For the Nose Section, access is necessary for the Windshield & Cockpit, as well as Nose Avionics. For the Wing & Engine Pylon, equipment facilitates work on the Engine (Inlet/Exhaust), Engine Body, and associated systems. Access solutions are also essential for the Tail Section (Empennage) for the Vertical Stabiliser and Horizontal Stabiliser components. Adjustable platforms provide the necessary secure height for thorough and methodical maintenance across the entire airframe.
