LA-250

The LA-250, commonly known as the Lake Renegade, is a single-engine amphibious aircraft. This high-wing monoplane is designed to carry one pilot and five passengers, and its versatility allows for operations from land and water. Key specifications include a length of 28 ft 4 in (8.64 m) and a wingspan of 38 ft 0 in (11.58 m).

The aircraft’s manufacturing history traces back to Consolidated Aeronautics. After running into financial difficulties, the previous company, Lake Aircraft, was taken over in 1962. Consolidated Aeronautics retained Lake as a marketing section, referred to as the Lake Aircraft Division. The physical manufacturing component was renamed Aerofab Inc.

Various access solutions can aid maintenance on the LA-250. Platforms are used for inspecting the Nose Section and Forward Fuselage components, including avionics, lighting systems, and cabin access points. Larger maintenance stands and cantilever platforms provide access to the Wing & Engine Pylon areas for work on the engine, anti-ice systems, and fuel components. Modular platforms and scaffold systems are also essential for detailed work on the Middle and AFT Fuselage, as well as the Tail Section, ensuring all stabilizers and ducts are readily accessible.
