J5R

The Auster J/5R Alpine is a British single-engine, high-wing monoplane designed for training and touring. It was introduced in the 1950s and featured four seats.

Auster Aircraft Limited, based in Rearsby, Leicestershire, was the manufacturer of this aircraft. The company had its origins in Taylorcraft Aeroplanes (England) Limited, which was established in 1938. Taylorcraft produced observer/light liaison aircraft for the British military during World War II. After the war, the company changed its name to Auster Aircraft Limited in 1946 and shifted focus to civil light aircraft production, developing and manufacturing various high-wing monoplane designs like the J/5R Alpine. The company continued production until the early 1960s.

A variety of access solutions are suitable for maintenance of this aircraft. These include Reach Deck Platform, Modular Stepover Platforms, Super Trestle Scaffold, and Ultraraise. Other platforms such as the Super Service Stand, Easyraise, Bridge Deck, and Cantilever Platform also provide access. Smaller access aids like the Aviation Chock and Cone Trolley, Super Maintenance Platform, Branach Fibreglass Platform, A Frame Aviation Platform, and Platform Ladder Warthog are valuable for detailed work. These platforms and stands address access needs across various sections of the aircraft, including the Nose Section, Forward Fuselage, Landing Gear, Middle Fuselage / Wing Box Area, Wing & Engine Pylon, AFT Fuselage, and Tail Section.
