ISKRA

The PZL TS-11 Iskra (Polish for “Spark”) is an iconic jet trainer aircraft developed by the Polish firm PZL, often associated with its final production facility, PZL WARSZAWA – OKECIE. Chief designer Tadeusz Soltyk led the development of the TS-11, which first flew its prototype on February 5, 1960. Deliveries to the Polish Air Force began in March 1963. A total of 424 Iskras were built across eight versions before production ended in 1987. The aircraft served as a primary and advanced jet trainer for decades, remaining in Polish service until 2002.

A variety of platforms and access solutions are available for maintaining the ISKRA. Products such as the Reach Deck Platform, Modular Stepover Platforms, and Super Trestle Scaffold offer excellent access to critical aircraft sections. Solutions like the Cantilever Platform and Bridge Deck provide essential access for detailed inspections and methodical maintenance across the fuselage and wing areas. Maintenance needs for the Nose Section, Landing Gear (NLG and MLG), and the Wing & Engine Pylon areas benefit from the positioning and stability these sturdy platforms provide. These access solutions are foundational for ensuring optimal efficiency during servicing of the aircraft.
