Ilyushin Il-96

The Ilyushin Il-96 is a Russian long-range, wide-body commercial airliner. It was developed by the Ilyushin Design Bureau in the Soviet Union during the mid-1980s as a replacement for the Il-62. The Il-96 is recognized as the first Soviet long-haul wide-body aircraft to feature a modern glass cockpit, and it remains a key platform for high-level government transport.

The Il-96 family includes the original four-engine Il-96-300, typically powered by Soloviev PS-90A turbofans, and the stretched Il-96M/T variants, which were designed to incorporate Western engines and avionics. This long-haul aircraft is known for its durability and operational range.

Ilyushin, the manufacturer, is a foundational Russian aerospace company with a history dating back to 1933, established by Sergey Ilyushin. The company has produced numerous celebrated designs, spanning military and civil aviation, establishing a strong lineage of sturdy transport and passenger aircraft for both domestic and international operations.

Access solutions, such as deck platforms, modular stepover platforms, trestle scaffold, and maintenance stands, are available to address various maintenance needs across the aircraft. These products provide access to critical areas including the nose section for radome and avionics work, the landing gear (NLG and MLG) for routine checks, the wing and engine pylon for thorough engine maintenance (inlet/exhaust, fan, compressor, turbine), and the tail section for APU and stabilizer servicing. Access is also provided for general fuselage tasks, including cargo, cabin, and rear avionics access.
