F22R

The General Avia F.22 Pinguino is an Italian two-seat aircraft designed by Stelio Frati, renowned for designing 22 different aircraft. The F.22 features side-by-side seating in an enclosed canopy cockpit. General Avia manufactured this light aircraft, which is a key component of Frati’s aviation legacy. The F22R (Pinguino-Sprint) variant is powered by a 160 horsepower Textron Lycoming O-320-D1A engine and is equipped with a constant-speed propeller and a retractable undercarriage.

A variety of platforms and access solutions are utilized for thorough maintenance across the F22R. For the Nose Section, Modular Stepover Platforms and A Frame Aviation Platforms aid access to the radome and avionics. The Super Service Stand and Ultraraise platforms are vital for tasks on the Landing Gear. For work on the Wing & Engine Pylon—including the engine body, fan, and hydraulic systems—Reach Deck Platforms and Cantilever Platforms provide excellent access. Specialized equipment, such as the Bridge Deck, supports work on the Middle Fuselage and Wing Box Area. These resources ensure detailed inspections and maintenance across all critical sections, from the Forward Fuselage to the Tail Section.
