The E-190 is a central member of the Embraer E-Jet family of regional airliners. It first flew on March 12, 2004, and entered service with JetBlue Airways in November 2005. It is known for its efficiency and ability to carry up to 124 passengers in a single-class configuration, filling a crucial niche between smaller regional jets and larger single-aisle airliners.
Embraer, the Brazilian aerospace manufacturer, has a foundational history dating back to its establishment in 1969. Originally a state-owned enterprise, it was privatized in 1994, leading to its expansion into global markets for regional, executive, and defense aircraft. The E-Jet family, including the E-190, represents the company’s paramount achievement in commercial aviation, with over 1,730 aircraft built in the series to date.
A range of platforms and access solutions address maintenance needs across the E-190. For the Tail Section (Empennage) and high access points like the Vertical Stabiliser and APU Compartments, specialized platforms are crucial. For Wing & Engine Pylon work—including access to the Pylon, Engine Body, and fan/compressor areas—stands and Cantilever platforms provide necessary reach. Modular Stepover platforms and Super Trestle Scaffold offer flexible access across the Forward and Middle Fuselage areas, supporting tasks on the Wing Box, Cargo/Baggage sections, and Cabin Interior access. Smaller devices support the Landing Gear and General Access points. These solutions provide the required access for methodical inspections and maintenance across all critical sections, from the Nose Avionics to the AFT Bulkhead.
