DH-94

The DH-94 Moth Minor is a two-seat tourer/trainer aircraft from the 1930s. Designed by J.P. Smith, the wooden prototype first flew on June 22, 1937, at Hatfield Aerodrome, England.

DE Havilland, the manufacturer, was a foundational British aviation company. Production of the Moth Minor began in England, with nearly 100 examples completed before the Second World War. When the war started, manufacturing shifted to de Havilland Australia at Bankstown Aerodrome. Approximately 140 units were ultimately built. The DH-94 is a significant piece of de Havilland’s history in producing light trainer and touring aircraft.
