The DH-104 SERIES 5 is part of the De Havilland Dove lineage, a highly successful short-haul airliner and charter aircraft. De Havilland designed the all-metal DH. 104 towards the end of WWII primarily to replace the DH. 89 Rapide. The prototype first flew on September 25, 1945, establishing the company’s postwar success in the feederliner market. De Havilland Aircraft Company, founded in 1920 by Geoffrey de Havilland, was a foundational British aircraft manufacturer known for iconic designs before and after the war.
Maintaining the DH-104 SERIES 5 requires detailed access to numerous key areas. A range of platforms and access solutions support servicing for sections including the Nose (Radome, Antenna, Nose Avionics, Windshield & Cockpit, Bulkhead) and the Forward Fuselage (Main Entry Door, Cargo/Baggage, Cabin Access).
Additional height access is indispensable for the Landing Gear (Nose and Main), the Middle Fuselage/Wing Box Area (Fuel Tanks, Oil Maintenance, Cabin Interior), and the Wing and Engine Pylon area, including the Engine’s Inlet/Exhaust, Fan, Compressor, Turbine, and Hydraulics. Elevated platforms also facilitate thorough work on the AFT Fuselage and the Tail Section, supporting maintenance of the Vertical Stabiliser, Horizontal Stabiliser, and Rudder. These maintenance products ensure comprehensive servicing across the aircraft.
