DA 40

The Diamond DA 40 Diamond Star is a four-seat, single-engine light aircraft built from composite materials, produced by Diamond Aircraft Industries. It was developed as a larger version of the earlier DA20, with its first flight occurring in 1997 and Type Certification granted in 2000. It is currently manufactured in both Austria and Canada.

Diamond Aircraft Industries originated as Hoffmann Flugzeugbau, established in Austria in 1981 by Wolf Hoffmann. Following several name changes, the company was taken over by the Dries family in 1991 and officially became Diamond Aircraft in 1996. The company is renowned for developing efficient, high-performance light aircraft and operates production centers in Wiener Neustadt, Austria, and London, Ontario, Canada.

Access solutions, such as Reach Deck Platforms, Modular Stepover Platforms, Super Trestle Scaffold, Ultraraise, and Easyraise, are used for maintenance across various aircraft sections. These products provide necessary elevation for work on the Nose Section (Radome, Windshield & Cockpit), Forward Fuselage (Main Entry Door, Cargo/Baggage, Cabin Access), Landing Gear (Nose and Main), Middle Fuselage (Wing Box, Fuel Tanks, Oil Maintenance), and Tail Section (Stabilizers, Rudder). Additional equipment like Aviation Chock and Cone Trolleys assist general aircraft handling.
