CJ-6A

The CJ-6A is an improved version of the Nanchang CJ-6, a Chinese two-seat basic trainer aircraft. The CJ-6A is powered by a 285 hp Zhuzhou Huosai HS-6A radial piston engine, an upgrade from the original model. First flown in 1958 and introduced in 1960, the CJ-6 series has become a cornerstone primary trainer, with over 2,000 units built and remaining operational, primarily with the People’s Liberation Army Air Force.

Manufacturing history for the aircraft is rooted in the Nanchang Aircraft Factory, now known as Hongdu Aviation Industry Group. The factory undertook the design and production of this foundational trainer, establishing a significant production legacy that continues to the present day.

Maintenance requirements for this aircraft are supported by various access platforms and solutions. These include the Reach Deck Platform, Modular Stepover Platforms, Super Trestle Scaffold, Ultraraise, Super Service Stand, Easyraise, Bridge Deck, Cantilever Platform, Aviation Chock and Cone Trolley, Super Maintenance Platform, Branach Fibreglass Platform, A Frame Aviation Platform, and Platform Ladder Warthog. These products address access needs for essential sections such as the Nose Section (including the Windshield and Cockpit), the Landing Gear (NLG and MLG), and the Wing & Engine Pylon area (covering components like the Engine Body and Fuel Pumps). General access across the airframe is also supported.
