C-26D Metroliner

The C-26D Metroliner is a military derivative of the Fairchild Swearingen Metroliner, a successful twin-turboprop regional airliner and transport aircraft. Fairchild, the American aircraft and aerospace company, was founded in 1925 by Sherman Fairchild and was instrumental in aviation development until its eventual acquisition by M7 Aerospace in 2003. The Metroliner series, which began production in 1968, was developed from the Swearingen Merlin and served as a crucial utility and transport aircraft.

The C-26D variant is known for its role in range support, notably operated by the U.S. Navy’s Pacific Missile Range Facility. It represents the aircraft’s continuous adaptation for specialized military tasks.

A range of platforms and access solutions are utilized for methodical maintenance and inspection of the C-26D Metroliner. These solutions, including the Reach Deck Platform, Modular Stepover Platforms, Super Trestle Scaffold, and Ultraraise, ensure detailed access across all critical sections. These products support access for maintenance across the Nose Section (including Radome and Windshield & Cockpit), the Forward Fuselage, Landing Gear, and the Wing & Engine Pylon areas (addressing Engine components and Hydraulics). Furthermore, access solutions facilitate work on the AFT Fuselage and the Tail Section (Empennage), ensuring comprehensive support for all aircraft sections.
