Bayraktar TB2

The Bayraktar TB2 is a globally recognized Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle (UCAV) developed and manufactured by Baykar, a Turkish technology company. The system is renowned for its fully automatic flight control and triple redundant autopilot system, enabling autonomous takeoff and landing without reliance on ground systems. It features a 12-meter wingspan, a maximum speed of 120 KTAS, and an operational altitude of 16,000 feet, with a service ceiling of 22,000 feet. The TB2 carries laser-guided smart ammunition, such as the national munitions MAM-L and MAM-C, allowing for surgical-precision strikes while prioritizing civilian security. It has achieved over 1,000,000 hours of operational flight globally.

Baykar has been developing UAVs for the Turkish Armed Forces since 2004, beginning with the miniature Bayraktar Mini UAV for short-range reconnaissance. The Bayraktar TB2, developed from the Bayraktar TB1, made its maiden flight in August 2014 and has been instrumental in shaping new military doctrines. The development of the UAV is largely credited to Selçuk Bayraktar. The entire TB2 system, including the platform, Ground Control Station, and other modules, is produced indigenously by Baykar.

Access solutions, such as Reach Deck Platforms and Modular Stepover Platforms, are available for maintenance tasks on the aircraft. These access solutions aid in reaching various sections, including the Nose Section (for radome and avionics), Wing & Engine Pylon (for engine maintenance and anti-ice systems), and Landing Gear (NLG and MLG). Sturdy platforms, like the Super Trestle Scaffold, provide access to the Tail Section (empennage, stabilisers, and rudder) and AFT Fuselage for rear avionics and APU access.
