B-2A Spirit

The B-2A Spirit is a multi-role, stealth strategic heavy bomber, representing a major milestone in bomber technology. It is capable of delivering both conventional and nuclear munitions, providing massive, decisive firepower anywhere across the globe by penetrating previously impenetrable defenses. Its design incorporates low-observable stealth technology, giving it its iconic “flying wing” shape.

Northrop Grumman Corporation is the manufacturer behind this aircraft. The B-2 program began under the Northrop Corporation and was publicly unveiled on November 22, 1988. The aircraft first flew in July 1989, and the first operational B-2 was delivered in December 1993. Northrop Grumman continues to support the B-2 fleet.
