AT-502A

The AT-502A is an agricultural aircraft produced by AIR Tractor, a company founded by Leland Snow. Snow began developing agricultural aircraft in the 1950s, leading to the creation of the AT-301 in 1974, the first aircraft under the AIR Tractor name. The AT-502A belongs to the successful AT-500 series, which has been widely adopted globally for its performance in aerial application tasks.

Maintenance access for this aircraft requires specialized height access solutions. Various platforms and stands are used to service key sections of the aircraft. For the Nose Section, access is needed for the radome, antenna, nose avionics, windshield, cockpit, and bulkhead. The Forward Fuselage requires access for the main entry door, cargo/baggage areas, lighting systems, cabin access, environmental control systems, and the forward wheel well.

Platforms and stands facilitate maintenance on the Landing Gear, including the nose landing gear and main landing gear. The Middle Fuselage and Wing Box Area need access for inspecting the wing box, center and wing fuel tanks, oil maintenance, cabin interior, Wi-Fi systems, and emergency exit mechanisms. For the Wing and Engine Pylon, technicians require access for the pylon itself, anti-ice systems, engine components (inlet, exhaust, body, flap, fan, compressor, turbine), FADEC/EEC systems, hydraulics, fuel tanks/pumps, and the undercowl. Furthermore, the AFT Fuselage and Tail Section, which includes the vertical and horizontal stabilizers and rudder, are serviced using tailored access equipment.
