An-26 Curl

The An-26 Curl is a turboprop military transport aircraft manufactured by Antonov. Developed from its predecessor, the An-24, its initial construction was achieved in 1969, with its first flight occurring that same year. Production of the An-26 ran from 1969 to 1986, with over 1,400 units built. Key features include powerful engines and a large rear cargo ramp for efficient material loading. The pressurized cabin allows for high-altitude flights.

Maintaining the An-26 requires careful attention across multiple aircraft zones. Access solutions are available to address maintenance needs throughout the airframe.

For the Nose Section (radome, avionics, and cockpit), solutions like the Platform Ladder Warthog or Reach Deck Platform provide necessary height access. These platforms also serve the Forward Fuselage for cargo and cabin access, or the Middle Fuselage for wing box inspections.

Maintenance around the Landing Gear (NLG and MLG) and the Wing & Engine Pylon is simplified using Cantilever Platforms and Modular Stepover Platforms for engine components (inlet/exhaust, fan, turbine) and fuel tanks. Sturdy access stands, such as the Super Service Stand or Ultraraise, ensure safe, detailed work on the AFT Fuselage and Tail Section (empennage), addressing components like the APU, stabilisers, and rudder. The A Frame Aviation Platform also supports general access requirements across the aircraft.
