The AIRTOURER 100/A1 is a light, two-seat aircraft renowned for its agile handling and fully aerobatic capability, making it a desirable machine for recreational pilots and flight training. It originated from the design work of Henry Millicer, who developed the winning entry for a 1953 Royal Aero Club design competition.
VICTA, the original manufacturer, was an Australian company primarily known for producing lawnmowers. In the 1960s, the company ventured into aviation, acquiring the rights to produce the aircraft, branding it as the Victa Airtourer. Production efforts from 1962 to 1966 established the aircraft’s initial legacy before the rights were sold.
A range of platforms and access solutions are available for this aircraft. For the Nose Section (including Avionics, Windshield, and Cockpit), the Platform Ladder Warthog and Easyraise stands offer precise height access. For Landing Gear and general underside maintenance, the Super Service Stand and Ultraraise platforms provide sturdy access. The Middle Fuselage/Wing Box Area (including Fuel Tanks and Cabin Interior) can be effectively serviced using the Reach Deck Platform and Modular Stepover Platforms. For the Wing & Engine Pylon access, the Cantilever Platform and Bridge Deck are useful for over-wing and engine work. Finally, the Tail Section and its components, such as the Vertical and Horizontal Stabilizers, are best reached using the Super Trestle Scaffold and Super Maintenance Platform.
