The Learjet 31 is a light business jet, part of the legendary Learjet family. Its manufacturer, Learjet, pioneered the modern business jet category. Founded by Bill Lear in the early 1960s, the company became synonymous with fast, stylish corporate travel.

The Model 31, introduced to the market, was known for its innovative features, including Delta fins and winglets, which improved flight performance. The upgraded 31A model, delivered starting in 1994, brought new avionics and became the primary offering in its category. Production of the Learjet 31 model series, including the final long-range derivative, the 31AER, continued until 2002. Over 200 units were delivered before the manufacturer shifted focus to the Learjet 45 family.

This aircraft requires detailed access for maintenance across various sections. For the nose, forward fuselage, and landing gear, mobile stands and platforms are vital. Access is also foundational for the middle fuselage, wing box area—where fuel tanks and interior components reside—and the engine pylon, which demands access to the inlet, exhaust, and complex hydraulics. Tail section components, such as the vertical and horizontal stabilizers, also require specific elevated access solutions.
