280FX

The Enstrom 280FX is a piston-powered helicopter known for its high inertia, fully articulated rotor system, which provides foundational safety and stability. The turbocharged power plant ensures excellent high-altitude performance. This three-seat aircraft features a max cruise speed of 109 mph (176 kph) and an endurance of 3.5 hours.

Enstrom Helicopter Corporation, the manufacturer, was founded in 1959 by mining engineer Rudolph J. “Rudy” Enstrom in Menominee, Michigan, United States. The company developed its first product, the piston-powered F-28, in 1965. Since those early designs, Enstrom built an international reputation. The company continued to develop its line of helicopters until going out of business in January 2022.
