24R-46A

The 24R-46A is part of the Fairchild Model 24 lineage, a highly successful civil and military utility aircraft that first flew in 1932. Fairchild Aircraft, founded by Sherman Fairchild in 1925, established itself as an American aircraft and aerospace manufacturing company with locations including Farmingdale, New York, and Hagerstown, Maryland. The Model 24 series, known for its sturdy construction, remained in production until the late 1940s, with over 2,230 units built. Many retired military versions became popular postwar transports, contributing to the model’s enduring survival in reasonably large numbers.

For servicing the 24R-46A, access solutions like the Reach Deck Platform, Modular Stepover Platforms, Super Trestle Scaffold, and Ultraraise are foundational. These specialized solutions provide safe height access for detailed inspections and maintenance across critical aircraft sections.

Access equipment supports all areas, including the Nose Section (Radome, Antenna, Nose Avionics, Windshield & Cockpit, Bulkhead) and the Forward Fuselage (Main Entry Door, Cargo/Baggage, Lighting Systems, Cabin Access, Environmental Control System, Forward Wheel Well Access). Maintenance stands also facilitate work on the Landing Gear (Nose and Main Landing Gear), Middle Fuselage (Wing Box, Fuel Tanks, Oil Maintenance, Cabin Interior, Wi-Fi, Emergency Exit), and the Tail Section (Vertical Stabiliser, Horizontal Stabiliser, Rudder). Products like the Platform Ladder Warthog and Super Service Stand ensure comprehensive access to the entire airframe.
