The most common variant is the Bell 206 JetRanger, an iconic light helicopter celebrated for its sleek design, reliability, and versatility.

The aircraft traces its history back to the U.S. Army’s Light Observation Helicopter (LOH) program in the early 1960s. Although Bell did not win the military contract initially, they redesigned their LOH prototype into the successful commercial five-place Model 206A JetRanger, which first flew in 1966 and was certified in 1967.
