182

The Cessna 182 Skylane is an American four-seat, single-engine light utility aircraft, foundational to general aviation. Introduced in 1956, the 182 was developed from the Cessna 180 and quickly became the second-most popular model produced by the manufacturer after the Cessna 172. The initial 1956 version featured a 230 hp Continental O-470-L piston engine and a 2,550 lb gross weight. Later variants, including the retractable landing gear R182, sustained its global popularity. With over 23,237 units built, the 182 remains in production today, a testament to its sturdy design and reliability.

Cessna Aircraft Company, based in Wichita, Kansas, has a rich history as a leading US aircraft producer.
