170

The Cessna 170 is a single-engine, four-seat, utility aircraft that reigned supreme as a family airplane for the first half of the 1950s. The aircraft was a foundational model from Cessna, a manufacturer that has been a leading force in general aviation.

The Cessna 170 was certificated on June 1, 1948, as an expanded version of the earlier Model 140. Its distinctive, sporty taildragger configuration was popular, but it was quickly succeeded by the tricycle-gear Model 172 in 1956, which offered more forgiving ground handling. Despite this change, over 5,136 units of the various 170 models were built before the line concluded.

Maintenance access solutions are indispensable for methodical servicing of the 170 across all its sections. Elevated platforms and access stands address the Nose Section (Radome, Antenna, Avionics, Windshield & Cockpit, Bulkhead) and Forward Fuselage (Main Entry Door, Cargo/Baggage, Lighting Systems, Cabin Access, Environmental Control System, Forward Wheel Well Access).

The platforms further support detailed maintenance on the Landing Gear (Nose and Main Landing Gear), Middle Fuselage/Wing Box Area (Wing Box, Fuel Tanks, Oil Maintenance, Cabin Interior, Wi-Fi, Emergency Exit), and the Wing and Engine Pylon areas. Additionally, access solutions facilitate servicing the AFT Fuselage (Bulkhead, Cargo, Cabin Doors, Auxiliary Fuel, Environmental Ducting, Rear Avionics, APU Compartments, Rear Inboard/Outboard) and the Tail Section (Vertical Stabiliser, Horizontal Stabiliser, Rudder), alongside general access requirements.
