112TCA

The 112TCA, also known as the Alpine Commander, is a turbocharged variant of the Rockwell Commander 112, introduced in 1978. It was engineered to enhance high-altitude performance, offering a higher payload capacity and increased maximum takeoff weight (MTOW), making it ideal for flying in mountainous regions. A total of 160 units of the 112TCA were produced.

The aircraft was manufactured by Rockwell International, a foundational American aerospace corporation. Rockwell’s involvement in general aviation began in 1958 when it acquired Aero Commander. The company produced the Commander 112/114 series from 1972 until 1980, before selling the design rights.

Various platforms and access solutions facilitate detailed and methodical maintenance on this aircraft. Equipment such as modular stepover platforms, trestle scaffold, and maintenance platforms are paramount for accessing critical areas. These access solutions are essential for routine upkeep on the Nose Section (including avionics and cockpit), Forward Fuselage (cabin access and cargo), Landing Gear, Middle Fuselage (wing box and fuel tanks), Wing and Engine Pylon, AFT Fuselage, and Tail Section components (stabilizer and rudder).
