Taylorcraft Aeroplanes England

Taylorcraft Aeroplanes (England) Limited was a British aircraft manufacturer, founded in 1938, as a subsidiary of the American Taylorcraft company. It is known primarily for developing and manufacturing high-wing, fabric-covered, two-seat aircraft.

The company does not have current products, as it merged in 1961 to form Auster Aircraft.

Historically, its designs formed the basis for the British Air Observation Post (AOP) aircraft during WWII. Key historical products include the license-built Taylorcraft Plus C and D, and the subsequent military models: the Auster Mk. I through Mk. V, which were the backbone of British and Canadian AOP squadrons. The original Taylorcraft design, which the company utilized, is still sold today by other entities as a personal sport aircraft.
