Supermarine

Supermarine was a famous British aircraft manufacturer, best known for its significant contributions to military aviation. The organization is most renowned for developing the Supermarine Spitfire, one of the most iconic and pivotal fighter aircraft of World War II. Other notable historical products include the Supermarine S.6B seaplane, which won the Schneider Trophy, and the Supermarine Seafire (a naval adaptation of the Spitfire). Supermarine also produced early jet fighters like the Attacker, Swift, and Scimitar. The company ceased to exist as a distinct entity after being absorbed into British Aircraft Corporation (BAC) in the 1960s. Therefore, Supermarine has no current products, but its historical legacy, particularly the Spitfire, is legendary.
