Philippine Aerospace Development

The Philippine Aerospace Development Corporation (PADC) is a government-owned corporation founded in 1973 to develop the Philippine Aviation Industry. PADC operates a joint venture with Airbus known as Airbus Helicopters Philippines. Historical products manufactured by PADC under license include the MBB Bo 105 helicopter (44 units produced 1977-1997), the Britten-Norman BN-2 Islander (67 units produced 1975-1995), and the SIAI-Marchetti SF.260 and S.211 aircraft. They also developed prototypes such as the PADC Defiant 300 and the PADC Hummingbird. The organization focuses on aerospace and defense activities.
