Forney Manufacturing

Forney Industries, operating since 1932, is a long-standing family-owned company specializing in welding and metalworking. Historically, their innovations include an instant-heat soldering iron in the early 1930s and the first publicly available arc welder in the 1940s. Their product line expanded to include auto generators, battery chargers, more electric welders, welding supplies, residential and portable vacuum systems, and notably, the “Fornaire,” an easy-to-fly two-seat airplane designed for the consumer market. Today, they are known for their welding and metalworking products and supplies.
