DAP Beaufort

The DAP (Department of Aircraft Production) Beaufort was an Australian-built version of the British Bristol Beaufort, a twin-engined reconnaissance and torpedo bomber. It was developed from the Bristol Blenheim light bomber. The DAP Beaufort typically had a crew of four and was powered by two Pratt & Whitney Twin Wasp radial engines. It had a maximum speed of 225 mph and a range of 1,600 miles. Armament included four Vickers 7.7mm machine guns and a bomb load capable of carrying one 18-inch torpedo or up to 907 kg of aerial bombs. This aircraft is known for its role during World War II. Current products are not known from the available information.
