ATR

ATR (Avions de Transport Régional) is a Franco-Italian aircraft manufacturer specializing in regional turboprop aircraft. The company was founded in 1981 and is a joint venture between Airbus and Leonardo.

Their current and most well-known products are the ATR 42 and the ATR 72, which are popular regional airliners known for their fuel efficiency and suitability for short-haul flights. The ATR 42 is the smaller variant, typically seating 40-50 passengers, while the ATR 72 is an extended version accommodating 68-78 passengers.

ATR has continuously updated these two core models since their introduction, resulting in variants like the ATR 42-600 and ATR 72-600, which feature modern avionics and improved performance. They have had no other major historical aircraft models outside of the ATR 42/72 family.
